Since our beloved bearded bloke in a hat will be taking the role of the
Toymaker in the forthcoming TV version of The Hogfather, it set me
wondering what would happen in his acting career took off. So I looked at
possible remakes of classic films that he might possibly star in, and who
might conceivably play opposite him. In some cases it might be necessary
to give the film a new name.
Such as...Wincanton...the remake of Casablance starring Terry Pratchett as
Rick, also starring Bjork as Ilsa, Stephen Briggs as Victor Laszlo, Jack
Cohen as Major Strasser and Andrew Perry as Captain Renault.
Or...Citizen Pratchett...with Colin Smythe starring as Jedediah Leland,
Helen Mirren as Susan Alexander Kane, Dawn French as Mary Kane, Jennifer
Saunders as Emily Monroe Norton Kane, Charles Dickens as the late Charles
Foster Kane and introducing Terry Pratchett as Herbert Carter
